Short Bio

I am Kostas Lampropoulos and I received my Diploma degree in 2003 and my PhD in 2012 from the Electrical and Computer Engineering of University of Patras, Greece. I worked for 2 years (2003 -2005) as a Firmware Engineer in the WLAN Group of Atmel Hellas, part of Multimedia & Communications Group of Atmel Corporation. My current research is focused on the areas of identity management, privacy and security in Next Generation Networks. I am also member of the Network Architectures and Management Group of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of University of Patras, which carries out research in the areas of Future Internet, Peer-to-Peer and Network Management while it is currently participating in related EU projects, i.e. PII, VITAL++ and AutoI. From 2010 I am a member of the European Telecommunication Standards Institute (ETSI) and the rapporteur of at least two work items in the Identity and access management for Networks and Services (INS) Industry Specification Group (ISG). Furtermore, from 2012 I participate in the correspondence group on Discovery of Identity Management Information (cg-discovery) of the Study Group 17 (SG17-security) in ITU-T.
